The Leigh Village Horticultural Society (formerly the Village Produce Association) was formed, and held its first show, in 1944 as part of the war effort.
Today, the Society organises two annual flower and produce shows
(spring and summer), arranges seed and supplies discount deals for its members and arranges
outings to gardens and other places of interest.
The Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, The National Dahlia Society, and the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies.
It is also a member of the South East England Daffodil Group and an Individual Affiliated Member of NAFAS.
